Connect quantum research with classical software
Give each part of the workflow a clear role
Hybrid quantum-classical work investigates how a quantum model or algorithm can fit within a classical software workflow. A useful scope explains which part of the task the quantum component would address and what the surrounding system must do.
The research question comes before the technology choice. A classical alternative remains part of the comparison.
Compare a candidate architecture with a classical baseline
A project may include problem formulation, circuit or system simulation, classical orchestration and interfaces between an experiment and existing software. The intended output might be a reproducible investigation or a prototype demonstrating one defined interaction.
Inputs, stopping conditions and comparison metrics should be recorded so another person can understand the result.
Make resource requirements part of the result
Evaluation should explain the computational resources, model assumptions and limitations relevant to the experiment. A promising simulated result does not establish advantage on physical hardware or an improvement in a production workflow.
Our QEdgeStoreAI research illustrates a hybrid direction in energy modelling and classical control.
Start with a computational task
Bring a description of the task, current method, permitted infrastructure and evidence needed for the next decision. We can discuss whether a feasibility study or software experiment would answer that question. Any claim of practical advantage would need a fair comparison under stated conditions.
